Vacations
Caribbean - December 2007
Stops: St Maarteen, St Thomas, Miami
We had all been to these ports together in 2003, however, there was no pressure to push ourselves to find something new this time around. We were in getaway mode, with the pressures of the moment and the holidays quickly arriving, we wanted time to unwind, be ourselves, and forget everything except what we were doing in the moment.

Hawaii - April 2007
Stayed in Kona, Hawaii
We have been to Hawaii several times. This time we just wanted to hang out on the west coast of the big island of Hawaii, therefore we stayed at Waikoloa Village, about 20 miles north of the airport. Our favorite beach was in front of the Mauna Lani Resort - all beaches in Hawaii are public property. We drove to Waimea, to the north, and Kona, to the south, for additional beaches and food. Of course we had to tour the Kona Brewing Company and take a snorkel cruise through the Fair Winds company. Most of all we just relaxed.

seaplane in Juneau, Alaska
Alaska - August 2004
Stops: Tracy Arm Glacier, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Victoria BC
This is the year Mike's twin brother Mark and his wife Betty joined us as we visited ports, took fantastic side trips, ate too much, and enjoyed time together.
Alaska is a vacation where you must take an excursion at each port to see the country. These pictures will help to explain these excursions.

Mike, Patty, Harry smoking cigars
Caribbean - October 2003
Stops: St Thomas, St Maarteen, St Vincent, Barbados, Antigua, Princess Cay
We called this the cigar cruise. The three amigos - Mike, Patty, and Harry - enjoyed trying out the best cigars. Cubans turned out to be the favorites - not surprisingly, according to Harry.
St. Vincent is where the “Pirates of the Caribbean” was filmed and we viewed this movie later on during the cruise. This swash-buckling tale follows the quest of Captain Jack Sparrow, a savvy pirate, and Will Turner, a resourceful blacksmith, as they search for Elizabeth Swann. Elizabeth, the daughter of the governor and the love of Will's life, has been kidnapped by the feared Captain Barbossa. Little do they know, but the fierce and clever Barbossa has been cursed. He, along with his large crew, are under an ancient curse, doomed for eternity to neither live, nor die. That is, unless a blood sacrifice is made.
